Johnie Berntsson klar för kvartsfinal. Två svenskar seglar i herrarnas kvartsfinal i Match Cup Sweden imorgon. Johnie Berntsson från Stenungsund, tog sig på torsdagen solklart vidare i kvalificeringsomgången Repechage, liksom fransmannen Sébastien Col. Magnus Holmberg var redan klar efter första omgången.
På damsidan seglade stjärnskottet Anna Kjellberg och Linda Rahm in till semifinal på lördag.

The last flight in the Repechage was very exciting with lots of duels. The fight between Rahm and Wibroe had a lot of drama and both teams were shouting at each other and the umpires. But after a while Wibroe ended the drama and extended his lead to Rahm and won.

The first race between Minoprio and Berntsson had it all! Berntsson made a false start and got a penalty. Although, Berntsson somehow managed to get back and past Minoprio only to get another penalty. Berntsson got way behind and then it was Minoprio’s turn to get a penalty and Berntsson won.

Minoprio had a good start and was able to gain a little lead on Peter Wibroe. Then both skippers choose different paths and Minoprio was most successful and won.
Bruni had no chance of winning against the defending Match Cup Sweden champion Mattias Rahm who made some great spinnaker settings and won.

This last flight for the women today had it all!
In the first match it looked like Kjellberg performed a great start but she were too eager and made it false. Souter took the opportunity and won.

In the first match Spithill initially used the wind and took the lead against Souter. She kept the lead and won.
Anna Kjellberg continues to win, this time against Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen.

Förra årets succé upprepas och på fredag den 3 juli kommer ett stort antal kändisar för att tävla i Celebrity Race på Marstrand. Årets profiler är hämtade från flertalet branscher, allt från musikindustrin till handbollsvärlden, alla med olika erfarenhet av segling. TV-profilen Carin Hjulström som bland annat är programledare för Carin 21:30 ersätter Lotta Engberg.

Souter went head to head with Barkow but couldn’t find the right winds and Barkow won without any problems.
The next race was between Kjellberg and MacGregor. It was an entertaining duel where MacGregor finally found the best path and won.
