Maria Carlunger reinforces Brandspot PDF Print E-mail
maria_litenBrandspot, who organizes Match Cup Sweden with GKSS (the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club), has recently recruited Maria Carlunger as a strategic consultant. Maria has extensive experience in event marketing; for the past five years, she has been project manager for international sports events at Volvo and GKSS.

Maria will focus some of her work on Match Cup Sweden and she believes that the great sailing arena in Marstrand is a major key to the success of the event;
“The great sailing conditions in combination with the extremely close crowds make Match Cup Sweden a truly unique sailing event. This uniqueness helps us attract the best sailors of the world, which contributes to the big spectator crowds and hence, massive attention from both media and our sponsors,” states Maria.

Marias best memories throughout the years with match racing in Marstrand are from the prize ceremonies when a jubilant winner shouts with joy and all of the crew is equally exhausted and happy about a well-executed event week.  

Maria recently worked as a consultant for Volvo Event Management, where her work included the task of  project manager for Volvo's sponsorship in Match Cup Sweden. Previously, Maria has been responsible for the finish ceremony for Volvo Ocean Race in Gothenburg and for GKSS's in Swedish Match Cup, the predecessor of Match Cup Sweden.
