Katarina Regårdh explains why SEB recently decided to continue their relationship with Match Cup Sweden and why sports and business is such a good combination. In 2007, SEB brought 500 guests to MArstrand, and this year the ambition is to top that.
You have decided to continue as a sponsor in Match Cup Sweden 2008. Why?
First of all it is such a pleasant and exciting event, it suits us perfect for taking care of both customers and employees. The timing is also excellent, Match Cup Sweden serves as a sort of rounding-up with our clients, before a well-earned summer holiday.

What makes Match Cup Sweden so attractive?
There are many aspects. Everybody wants to be there - in Marstrand, the timing, the world class sailing, the business touch, the surroundings, the entertainment; all in all it is a very professional event.
Why is the event good for your marketing?
Besides the overall facts that makes the event so attractive, it also draws the attention of our main target groups. This of course is extremely important for our participation. Last year was our first year as a sponsor and we had about 500 guests during the event. This year the ambition it to invite even more people and use more parts of the concept. One real success was our "SEB Dinner" on Thursday night - we hope it will be a tradition.
Is the combination of sports and business important?
Sports are great for strengthening relations - it’s a nice way to spend time with others and to meet new people. It also gives another dimension to the business. For us it builds a very good platform for our business relations.
What have you gained from being a sponsor?
It facilitates our business relations in a very pleasant and satisfying way, and at the same time it is always highly professional in every aspect.
