williams1.jpgFrom harsh snow to shining sun, Ice Breaker really broke the ice! With thrilling battles on the water Ian Williams, ranked second in the world, took first place when beating Gothenburg sailor Mattias Rahm. The grade three sailing event had a strong line-up containing five crews ranked top 15 in the world.

Ian Williams is looking forward to his return to Sweden and Marstrand in July to once again take his chances in Match Cup Sweden.

"This was a perfect warm up facing Brazil next week, and also a great preparation for Match Cup Sweden in Marstrand in July, since we sailed the same boats", said Ian Williams.

First runner up was Mattias Rahm and his Stena Bulk Sailing Team. Mattias is ranked 253 on the world ranking, since he has been away from the ranking events during two years.

”We were a bit rusty in the toughest duels. Now we really look forward to the tour event in Brazil next week”, explained Mattias after the finals.
