Lotte Meldgaard Pedersen won today’s consolation races in Match Cup Sweden’s Women’s class. After winning the race versus Sandy Hayes, Meldgard Pedersen went on to defeat Danish Camilla Ulrikkeholm, thereby securing the 5th place in Match Cup Sweden.

Camilla Ulrikkeholm won the start but Meldgaard Pedersen showed great skills by managing to bounce back and beat Ulrikkeholm to the finish line. The races were sailed in sunshine and weak, eastbound winds, resulting in close, even races.

The 7^th place in Match Cup Sweden went to British Katie Spithill. American skipper Sandy Hayes finished last. Who will win the Match Cup Sweden’s Women’s class will be settled on Saturday among the three Swedes Linda Rahm, Anna Kjellberg and Jenny Axhede along with French Claire Leroy.
