The French crew of Claire Leroy on the Volvo boat was ahead of Linda Rahms red Puma team in the start but on the first upwind Linda gained some distance. But then she tacked towards the Marstrand side, and lost her speed somewhat due to lesser wind.

Claire kept and extended her advantage and had no problem taking her third victory giving her the ticket to the Final.

Anna Kjellberg keeps sailing like a deamon, as speaker Martin Sohtell said out on the water. She gained some advantage in the prestart towards Jenny Axhede and her skilled team. The match was a dramatic duel between two fiercly fighting teams. Anna gained from each wind and had higher speed at the roundings and every manouver on board seemed to flow perfectly. On the last downwind to the finish line Jenny lost 30-40 meters to Anna who could take the lead in the semi finals with 2-1.
