Brandspot GKSS World Match Racing Tour
Summary - Open Repechage, second flight PDF Print E-mail

In the first match, Minoprio suffered from a penalty and had to use a great deal of tactics to catch up with Col. They made about 16 tacks each before rounding the first buoy. In the end, Cole was the first sailor to cross the finish line.

The second race was between Williams and Bruni. Almost immediately Bruni got a penalty due to his collision with Williams’ boat. Consequently Williams had no problem winning the race.

The Scandinavian match between Berntsson and Wibroe had, like the previous matches, a lot of drama in the start. This time Berntsson got a penalty when the boats were heading towards the starting line. Wibroe could then secure the win.

Hansen versus Rahm was the last match in this flight and both boats were tacking a lot before the start and Rahm almost ran in to Hansen’s boat, but no penalty was awarded. Rahm got off to the best start and won the race.
